Overview

The AYON Desktop Review addon integrates AYON’s review management with desktop playback applications. It is designed to work seamlessly with the Review Sessions addon, allowing users to create version lists on the server and launch them for high-performance desktop review.

  • Integrated Activity Panel: Provides a native activity panel within OpenRV that mirrors the The Details Panel on AYON server. This allows users to view previous feedback and submit new comments/annotations without leaving the review environment.

Installation and Requirements

To use Desktop Review, add the addon to your Production Bundle and ensure the following dependencies are also included:

  • Applications Addon (Recent version)

  • Review Sessions Addon

  • OpenRV Addon

  • UI Qt Addon

Software Requirements

  • OpenRV: Must be installed on the user's local machine.

  • Configuration: The executable path for OpenRV must be correctly configured in the Applications Addon settings.

Quick Start

  1. Navigate to the Lists page on the AYON server.

  2. Select an existing Version List (or create a new one).

  3. Open the List Actions menu and select "Open session on a desktop app."

  4. In the resulting dialog, choose the preferred Representation (e.g., review) to be loaded for each version.

  5. The addon will launch OpenRV and automatically load the selected media for review.
