I was about to submit this very same request.
Additionally, there is a lot of real-state in the web interface here on the right side, clicking on an addon could show an optional “addon version description”, same way we have the version number, name, title etc. we could simply add a “description” key to the `package.py` and it would appear there. This opens the possibility to add custom data there in the future, like release notes for whoever wants to setup the automation in their repo.
