Make feedback/notes collectable/filterable/sortable
When working on big projects with directors who type in a lot of feedback in review sessions its nice to have a simple overview of all comments that have been made on a playlist, or even on a whole project, to sort/collect them and then go through them one by one. I see there’s the “Export review session feedback” idea already, but I’m talking about a seperate page/filter that can do this for a project/task/list to all comments it finds.

To summarise, I think this would require adding a status to a note/comment/list like “Open” and “Closed” or “In Progress” effectively turning them into subtasks that you can then filter based on their status. That way you can give a user an overview of all tasks they need to do on a project and not just having them go in and out of tasks in the Tasks overview. At the moment the Tasks page comes close to provide an overview of a users tasks over a whole project, but this would need to include comments/lists because at the moment they do not get an at-a-glance overview of all subtasks/notes they got. @Martin Ličko (murphy) how do you feel about this? This basically merges the "subtask" request with my request?

I'd imagine you could display this request of mine on the Tasks page as an interactive to-do list that instantly gives an overview of open tasks. For example here, list view, Tasks, grouped per shot, and below every Task you'd see a bunch of lines for every “open” comment/list/task.. So for example,Sh010>FX, instantly shows any note thats attached to that task/artist from a a supervisor, and you can close the notes.
This would basically provide the same functionality as the “Open Notes” field in Flow/Shotgrid

These are all very nice ideas. Not sure if it aligns with our plans. Let’s see our product team response.

Yeah I'd like to be able to give constructive feedback too, because maybe the planned Sub Tasks post already does this exact thing and I'm just making noise…

And Search . . .

This would include filtering by user, type of user. Etc, etc. At the moment we can see all comments on a specific folder for example, but this would need to work recursively on children of parents.
